110 FamiliesThis is a community solar mini grid that was designed to provide power to resettled communities back from Dadaab Refugee camp, Kenya, one of the largest refugee camps in the world to Kismayo, Somalia. The system provides power to 110 families, a clinic, a school, a police station and a marketplace. This is a model settlement. The project won a global award, Microgrid for the Greater Good Award 2019.
