In 2022, Nis Foundation collaborated with Solargen Technologies to address lighting needs in the October district of Hargeisa City, Somaliland. The project involved the installation of a lighting system consisting of 40 poles, each equipped with 150W solar panels.

Solargen Technologies, renowned for its expertise in solar solutions, oversaw the installation and setup of the lighting system. By utilizing solar energy, the project aimed to provide sustainable and reliable lighting for the district, enhancing safety and security for residents.

The solar-powered lighting system illuminated streets, public spaces, and key areas within the October district, promoting community well-being and facilitating nighttime activities.
