Boarding School

Direct Aid, in collaboration with Solargen Technologies Somaliland, accomplished a pivotal solar energy project in 2021. The initiative involved installing a 15kW solar system at a boarding school situated in the Maroodi Jeex Region, Gabiley District, Somaliland. The project’s strategic location capitalizes on solar potential, contributing to a cleaner environment and empowering the local community.
The solar system, with a capacity of 15 kilowatts, provides a reliable and sustainable energy source for the boarding school. Completed in 2021, the project positively impacts education by enhancing the learning environment with consistent, eco-friendly power. Beyond the school, the initiative promotes community development, raising awareness of renewable energy solutions and fostering a culture of sustainability.
