In 2020, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) collaborated with Solargen Technologies to implement a solar project in Abudwaaq District, located in the Galgaduud Region of Somalia. The project involved the installation of a 20.8 kW solar system, designed to benefit both the local community and livestock.

The solar system, installed by Solargen Technologies, serves multiple purposes, including providing electricity for community infrastructure and supporting the needs of livestock farmers in the area.
