Nis Foundation MCH
In 2019, Nis Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to healthcare, collaborated with Solargen Technologies to implement a solar project in Luuq district, located in the Gedo region of Jubaland state, Somalia. The project aimed to improve healthcare services at the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) facility in the area.
The project involved the installation of a 10kW solar system tailored to meet the energy needs of the MCH facility. Solargen Technologies, a leading provider of solar solutions, was entrusted with the installation and commissioning of the solar infrastructure.
By harnessing solar energy, the project aimed to ensure a reliable power supply for essential healthcare services, including maternity care, child immunizations, and general medical consultations. The solar system provided electricity for lighting, medical equipment, and refrigeration, enhancing the facility’s capacity to deliver quality healthcare services to women and children in Luuq district.
Through this initiative, Nis Foundation demonstrated its commitment to improving maternal and child health outcomes in Somalia. The project’s impact extended beyond energy provision, as it contributed to strengthening healthcare infrastructure, reducing maternal and child mortality rates, and promoting overall well-being in the Gedo region of Jubaland state.
